My son and I and 3 friends just returned from hunting with South Parana Outfitters located just outside of Gualeguay, Entre Rios Province. About 3 hours by truck north of Buenos Aires.
First time in Argentina, could not have been happier. Tomas and Juan really took care of us, great food, and of course more birds than we had ever seen, not even close. (Except Mallards in N. Dakota many years ago). We shot doves with a few pigeons mixed in, Perdiz, and ducks. Good variety of ducks though probably not all species which were there. Rented shotguns, mainly Beretta Urika 391s. They also had some Beretta O/Us and Benelli semi-autos. Our whole group shot only 20 gauge.
The guns were not set up well for me seeing too much rib, but I got used to it.
4 days hunting and 3 days sight-seeing and eating in B.A. The people are great, very impressed with the country. All in all a great trip and will do it again if finances allow.
