To those who do it; how difficult is it to bring a gun to the UK for drivin shoiting?

I’ve read the rules, which seem manageable but I’m looking for advice from folks who actually do it regularly.

Best;
Brett

.

Shooting with friends or paid sport? Reason for question if the latter then the booking agent should be able to help with details of local police constabulary contact.

Application available on line (Visitors Shotgun Certificate) and send it in. About 6-8 weeks before the shoot with payment. You'll need a UK sponsor (sporting agent ?).

When you get the original back that's all you need to present at point of entry into UK.

Very straight forward really.

We go over a couple times a year with shotguns from Europe.

Hope this helps.

Charlie

Thanks very much! Shooting with friends on a paid driven shoot.

I’ve had a couple of replies and it appears it’s no big deal!
