Guy Ralph from Lighthouse Station sadly died in a farm accident this week.
He was English and opened a high quality driven shoot in Auckland.

Guy was a good mate of mine. he fought an immense battle to get driven shooting accepted and legalised in a form acceptable to NZ game bird hunters over here. part of which saw him and me elected too the governing body- where other than driven shooting, his biggest achievement, which outweighs the former in my opinion, was the breaking of a closed group and an increase in democratic process that brought.
Now if you are enthusiastic enough, you can stand for election and know you have a chance to be involved.
The foresight in developing Lighthouse station and the hard work involved, has seen the creation of a world class and significant Sporting property that will be hard to top anywhere.
On a more personnel note. I will miss the opportunity to spend anymore time with him and hunt, shots, and discuss our shared passions. he was a generous friend and someone who didnt sit back and let others do. If he had an idea, he would do all in his power to do or achieve that.
I will miss him greatly!
