Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I just got drawn for spring turkey here in AZ. Never been turkey hunting. I have a remington 1187, so I'll be using 3 inch shells. My question is what shot to use. 3,4,5, ? thanks.

Ckemp,
Try diffrent brands and diffrent size shot until you find what your gun patterns best.
Set up the turkey targets at 40 yards and shoot whatever puts the most shot in the head and neck
of your target. Good Luck and I must caution you that Turkey hunting is very addictive. My 1187 Super Mag shoots best with the Carlson Turkey Tube and Winchester # 5 shot.

I use a 10ga mag, but Mark Bansner who installed the extra-full sleeve in the cutdown barrel recommended Federal, copper plated, buffered, #4's. They've been doing the trick for me for more than 20 years. Even if a gobbler hangs up at 65 yards, he's dead meat.
