I am heading to Cuba in a month and would like to do some wingshooting, can anyone recommend an outfitter?

Just saw this post. Cuba stays under the radar as a duck hunting destination for US hunters because we are not allowed to do any business with Cuban entities.

Now for someone from UK there should be no problems getting there and busting some ducks. Cuba has a limit of 25 birds per day and they primarily shoot Bluewing Teal, also Cuban Whistling Ducks and Bahama Pintails in lesser numbers.

Call Ron Thistlethwaite at 306-778-2348 he books for a Cuban duck hunting club, Ron is based out of Canada.

Take lots of pics and good luck.

I saw a Canadian fishing show the other day where the guys were in Cuba, and boy they were spanking some giant tarpon. Wish DC and Havana would get things sorted out so we could all go there if we wanted to.

I can't help but notice that those pictures look identical to some ducks in Argentina.

@larryshores

Bahama Pintail is also known as White-cheeked Pintail which is also found in Argentina...so same bird just a different sub-species.

Now the Cuban Whistling Duck is not found in Argentina at all. You are probably thinking of the Fulvous Whistling Duck which is found in Argentina but it is much smaller than the Cuban Whistling Duck in size.

Here is the Fulvous Whistling Duck, very different coloration from the Cuban and sizewise it is much smaller also. The Cuban is just a monster.
