LoneduckYou don't have to go that far; there are lots of them in California's Central Valley, especially early and late in the season. They're not considered a particularly desirable duck here.

Patricio GaudianoSonora mexico , you can shoot cinamon teal, as well as mexican mallards and brant, which are all hard to find elsewhere as well as whistlers, and dove or quail.

Sorry I'm a little late with a response to your question.
The general feeling is that they're not as good to eat as greenwing teal. If you look at the powder blue secondary coverts ("shoulder" patch) and a bill that's a little wider than a greenwing's, there is a certain resemblance to a spoonie. I don't shoot them, so I have no first-hand knowledge.

L. David KeithThey do make beautiful mounts. I did a number of wall mounts with all 3 Teal abreast for my clients.

South West Idaho has breeding populations of cinnamon teal and they are almost as common as mallards here.
