A good friend of mine, in Arizona, get together each year to go hunting something different. Last year it was alligators in Florida. This year when I called him I suggested Sandhill cranes in either Texas or Oklahoma. He laughed and said if I wanted to hunt cranes we should just run up to Minnesota as there were cranes all over his family's farm. "It will be easy"
claimed my buddy Barret. His family farm is in the nw corner of Mn in little town of Thief River Falls.
Knowing Barret and his easy claim I started calling around and got referred to Cory Loeffler. Cory is the owner of Death Row Calls
and is a world champion goose caller.
It turned out to be one of my best hunts this year.
We fly up first week in Oct. Ducks, geese and crane limits each day. You are allowed 2 cranes a day on a $3 tag.
