savage stryker iin 308 win.
I went to the gunshow today to sell a couple surplus items. Did so, and stopped and jaw jawed with a couple of vendors I know. Thought I'd make it out unscathed but, but no. Last booth I stopped by had this little jewel sitting all by itself on the table. In 308 no less. Burris 2.5 x 7 AO scope, and Harris Bi-pod.
I figure, I can throw this in the tour pack on my electra glide and head to the lease and pop a couple hogs on the cheap as my f350 turbo diesel gets about 12 miles to the gallon.

Nice find. I haven't seen any at the shows lately. I've got 4 of them, but wouldn't mind having another one or two.

Nashcat,

There's one midway between Nashville and Memphis that ain't been used in a couple years, has maybe a box and a half total through it, with an Uncle Mike's bandolier holster (not sure where the flap thing is). .308, POS scope that hasn't failed so far but ain't worth anything.

What's a fair price?

Jefffive,

Price would depend on blue or stainless, with or without brake. Most are going between $450 and $550 depending on model.

Here's a pic of 3 of mine. The rear grip is a 6BR, the center one is 6.5-284, and the one in the back with the thumbhole stock is a 308. The first two have McGowen 15" barrels. All have Burris 3 x 12 scopes. I have another blue one in 223, but it didn't make it to the range that day.

Nashcat,

It's stainless, with the amplifier. Loudest damned firearm I ever fired.

To keep it in Tennessee and to a fellow ARer, $400 would buy it, the throwaway scope, the holster and whatever .308 ammo I have, which is probably most of two boxes, I think there's a full box of 125 "reduced recoil" somewhere in my pickup. It's entirely stock, the original owner bought it new, fired it six times and couldn't stand the noise. Gave me a good deal on it, and I've taken a couple deer with it, but don't really use or need it.

Jefffive,

I'll take it for $400, and will come pick it up on Saturday afternoon, if that's OK with you. Just let me know where you are. I'm in Columbia.

Geedubya,

I don't know whether to thank you or blame you. But either way, I ended up with another Striker in 308 because of your original post. I picked it up today. You just can't have too many Strikers.
