After several years of searching I finally bought a NIB 50 cal Knight Disc Elite. I am looking forward to working up a load, and was wondering what folks are using for this rifle.

I have the disc extreme, 'bout the same gun. I use a load of 120 gr Pyrodex P powder, and a 250 gr TC Shockwave.. I have an Omega (Nikon) made for the muzzleloaders and that load I told you, and sighted in at 100 yds, the other circles are right on at 200 yds.. HTH.. Les

My Knight rifle scoped Nikon Monarch 4X likes 777 ffg loose (not pellets) under a Barnes 295 gr sabot. I tried the lighter bullets but this is my best load so far. I think I'll try a higher load this year and see how it shoots.

My Knight does well with the 250SST sabots over 2 777 pellets. It also shoots well with 80grns loose FFF T7 under 348 PBs. The 250SST load is a darn fine deer load and only drops 12" at 200 with a 100 yard zero. It's been a bang flop or short trail on the deer I've taken with that load. Good Luck Reloader

I use 90 grains of 3F Triple seven with either a Knight (Barnes) 260 or 290 grain sabot and a Triple 7 primer. That should get you around a 1-1 1/2" group. It should be a real good starting place and give minor chamber fouling. I usually run 1 wet patch and 1 dry patch between shots for consistency when trying for groups. If you get down to central MASS, PM me, maybe we can shoot some time. Elite Archery and High Country dealer.

Mine does great with 80 gr of loose 777 and a Hornady 44 cal 300 gr XTP. Winchester Triple 7 209 primers arent leaving a "crud ring". Groups run around 1- 1 1/2 inches @ 100 yds Just shot the guns this week and got a 1 1/2 group at 150 yds with this load. It hits about 3 in high at 100, and 2.5 low at 150. Same results in a Knight BK and # 11 caps Our season starts this Saturday!! One shot , one kill

My Elite likes the Barnes 245 0r 285 Spitfire MZ over 100gr BH209, with a Win 209 primer. That 285 gr. will kill anything, it's my go to bullet, but it can be too much on smaller animals.
