Hi, you mention that you don't like it when the bullet does not pass through an animal. If the bullet stayed in the animal, wouldn't that mean that all the bullet's energy was transferred to the animal? On pass through shots, some of the energy of the bullet is lost after the bullet leaves the animal. I have no way to test these thoughts, but they seem logical to me. Whale

Quote: Your thoughts are correct. However, an exit hole means two blood trails and another way for air to enter the chest cavity. I would rather have the pass through any day.

Hi Blacktailer I am a Professional Hunter living in the Kalahari region of South Africa . Two years ago , Mike McMichael , president of Powerbelt Bullets , hunted a Cape Buffalo and numerous species of plainsgame with me on a private reserve near the Kruger National Park . All of his animals , including his Cape Buffalo , were one shot kills . All the bullets performed flawlessly and ensured that his hunt was a huge success . If you would like to see any of the pictures , or need any more information , please contact me at rolston585ae@iafrica.com Best wishes . Brad
