I traded my standard Encore 209X50 barrel for a Katahdin carbine barrel over the summer, cause I thought I would really like the ghost ring sight. The sight didn't work for me but I do like the shorter length and set it up with a Bushnell 3X9 and circle X reticle. I am happy to report it works very well. It has been blooded on its second day of the muzzle loader season. Wink

The tree huggers are out there. They can't be reasoned with, they can't be bargained with... they don't feel pity or remorse or fear...and they absolutely will not stop. Ever.

I have a Katadin and am hoping to get some use out of it this muzzleloader season this winter up here in Maine. Congradulations on putting some blood on the ground.

2 50gr. triple 7 pellets, a hornady 45cal. 240gr XTP and hornady sabot ahead of a winchester 209.Make the first shot count and you won't have to worry about the blasted crud ring.
