Now that I've got my new Green Mountain Barrel shooting like I want it to. I am ready to start eliminating nuisance wild hogs on my property in Georgia. Using Black Mag3, how long can I leave this rifle loaded without firing it, before I need to either fire it, or remove the load?? Any advice??

There have been documented Findings from the Cival War time to the 1940's of old muzzleloadres being loaded and still ready to fire ! I use Hodgton Trip 7 3/F and have left loaded from one year to the next for our hunting seasons for Deer , still fire and no damage to barrels .

It will depend entirely upon the conditions under which you store your rifle when not hunting. Don't subject it to a lot of extreme changes in temperature and humidity. Keep the hammer down on a bare nipple(if it's a caplock). Basically...try to keep the powder charge "sealed" as much as possible from outside influences and you should be fine for as long as you want.

If it's rainy or very humid, I'd shoot it daily. It will only piss you off if you have a hangfire and miss, and at the most 15 minutes to clean it. If it's dry, a month shouldn't make a lot of difference. A pencil eraser between hammer and nipple should keep most of the moisture from the air out of the charge, assuming you have a good tight fit with rb/patch or sabot in the bore. ..And why the sea is boiling hot And whether pigs have wings. -Lewis Carroll

I have left Pyrodex and 777 in my clean rifle for months...no problemo. Although, I live in a desert climate with humidity that avgerages about 20%
