I just saw my first Traditions Muzzleloading Shotgun today. It was the Pursuit Pro in some shadowy leaf camo and wholesaled for about $340. Now I'm not into shotguns and usually think of some names as "bottom lines", but this thing impressed me with the number of safety features. It is a break-open action with a simple 209 fitting inside. The hammer has a drilled hole through it for a hammer shoe that comes with it. A hammer lockout shim is built in and a Weaver type scope base is welded to the breech top. But then the damnedest thing I've ever seen on a breakopen/hammer gun, this thing has a Remington style button safety behind the trigger guard. I wonder why more manufacturers haven't thought of that. Especially on some of the harder cocking models that you have to be super careful not to spook animals 2 counties away when the sear falls into the release. RETIRED Taxidermist | ||
