I put a Williams FP peep sight on my .50 BP barrel. The front fire sight looks like it might be a tad short for the set up. Anybody know what height it needs to be or will the one that's on there work? Thanks.

I'm using the factory front with a Williams aperture rear on my 209x50 tube with no problems. Try yours before spending more money.

+1 for go shoot it. I rigged up my brother's encore 50X205 and thought the same thing. 250 gr sabot's, 100-110 gr black powder or equivalent will be pretty close, I'd expect.

Or, try lighter, heaver bullets. The encore makes a very nice muzzleloader. Best I've ever handled/shot in nearly 40 years of fooling with them. Try some things with it, get groups.
