I've been an avid bowhunter for a while but decided to try the smoke pole out this season. With Christmas break at hand I had several chances to hit the woods. My first trophy was a little 7 point buck that was taken at 75 yards and traveled about 60 yards before piling up.

The next was a unique colored hog hog taken in West Texas while stalking at about 15 yards and it traveled about 50 yards before crashing.

Both were taken with a TC Impact 2 pellets of 777 with a 250 grain Hornady sabot. Thanks for all the posts on this site, its a wealth of information!
Happy New Year, see some yall at the DSC show!

Nice pics! Could the hog have a little bushpig in it?

I took my .62 smoothbore out the last day of the Va season and made a halfway decent running shot on this large doe. Only 20 yards but she was moving right along. 75 grains Goex 3F, 1/2" cushion wad and grease patched .600" lead ball (325grns).

Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.

Staley that is a neat looking rack! It almost looks like he rubbed the velvet off on a fence.

Neat trophies; both of them.
