I'm new to muzzle loading but not new to shooting. I have been looking at 2 muzzle loaders, "T/C Omega and Knight Disc Extreme". What's the opinion on these rifles. Any suggestions. It will be used for white tail and if I'm lucky black bear. Money is not an issue but quality is. Is there any custom makers I can contact?

The two guns and makers your lookin at are some of the best...the choice is yours. I would look at the regulations of the states your gonna hunt, or might hunt in the near future...that may help you decide.

I agree with fairchase. You really can't go wrong with either company. I don't have a Omega, but I do have an Encore ML. I will be honest though. I am more of a "Knight-man" since that is what I started with and have shot the most. I started with an Extreme and also have an Elite; both of which shoot great. If I had to start over, I would probably go with the Omega for simplicity and ease of cleaning.

I have an Omega (stainless .50) and am completely happy with it. I don't personally care for the plastic primer holders that come with the Knight rifles (just a personal thing with me). I did convert my Omega to the .25ACP conversion (which is similar to the Knight in that you need an extra piece) but using the small rifle primers is an advantage for me and the .25 brass is easier to handle when hunting.
