I just returned from the ISE show in Sacramento and had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Jim Shockey. He was there as a presenter and had a booth filled with his books and DVD's but I was most impressed with him as a down to earth person and actually quite the fun guy. His presentation featured some terrific animals from his hunts in the far North. He also showed some new material from his Africa hunt with the Knight muzzleloader including a Buff charge which was definitely not provoked but also not killed with a muzzleloader. He made no bones about being totally freaked by the sheer power and massivness of the Buffalo and of a Hippo that also charged and was put down with a few dozen feet of the hunter and his guide.
Really a worthwhile individual to see and meet and the dvd I purchased on his Africa hunt was absolutly first class.
