That was one of my worries. When I lived in Alaska it was minium 54 for round ball, and 45 for heavy conicals. I've been a "big bore" guy so its been new to look at 45s and consider them for big game.

I try to keep my arsenal to a minimum so I'd like one "do-all as much as possible" muzzeloader. So I'm leaning heavily to a flint 54.
