I figured you were all bored with all of the huge bucks pictured(not really), so I thought I'd give a regular meat on the table type story It was the last day of MLer season Sunday evening and with a pocket full of tags to fill I decided to go and give it one more chance. Usually only night movement this late in the game, but as luck would have it a few old doe decided they wanted to stir. Just before last light 3 large doe came out around 180yds and fed their way torward me. After a while they ventured off into the thickets and I was certain the season was over. As I gathered my gear I spotted some movement at around 100 yards and sure enough, the 3 doe were coming back into view. I lined up my Knight and let it roar. There was a definite thud and when the smoke cleared the white belly was a nice sight to see. Load was 2 777 pellets under a 250 SST, range 98 yards. Bang flop! Nice way to end it with a bang(and alittle smoke ) at the last minute. Ya'll have a good one, Reloader | ||
