Made a gun show yesterday and found a blued White S91 in .504. Rifle was missing the sights and breach plug tool but had the sling, and it carried a Leupold one piece base... first one of those I have ever seen on a White. I was told it came came "with a box of bullets". Long story short, $120 bought it. The bullets turned out to be White 430-grain 45-caliber saboted Power Punch bullets. I got it home and pulled the breach plug; the bore is like new. I decided to clean the underside of the barreled action like I always do and discovered the ML has been bedded! I wonder if the guy had any idea what he owned. He seemed happy when I left, but I really feel kind of guilty.

No, he didn't know.. some old guy died, and his kids take the gun(s) to a show or dealer, unload 'em for a little bit.. they git into the pipeline and out it comes in your lap.. be happy.. (bought three guns at a moveing sale over the weekend...a like new 48A Mauser, a Ruger 10-22 , and a Mosin Nagant 44 all for $240, and he threw in a box of 440 8mm ammo..) Be happy.. Les
