I got word that GM was going to stop production on the LRH Stainless steel barrels.
I built a renegade with a a GM SS barrel. I put a set of Lyman peep sights on it. this is what it looks like.

Well the thing shoots like a wonder. I have shot 10 groups and the average is right at 1.25" This is my best 100 yard group.

Well like I said I heard that they were not going to make them any longer. I called and it is true. GM is no longer making a drop in barrel or any barrle like this in Stainless steel.
SO I asked if they had any left. They had ONE! Well guess what? I got it. I am not sure what I am going to do with it right now. It is the last 1" LRH to leave the factory. One of my friends said sell it on ebay. My son wants me to build him a rifle. I am thinking about storing it and keeping it for when I need another barrel. What would you guys do with it? Ron

Seems rather obvious to me.

By the way, GREAT shooting! Best of luck to you and your son.

I went out today shooting with my son. He didn't have school and not enough time to go hunt for birds. We had a competition shooting water bottles for the new barrel.
Who ever won got to do what ever they wanted with the new barrel. I was shooting the Renegade, he was shooting the 243. I stayed with him to 150 yards shooting 16oz water bottles. I missed a milk jug at 200 yards
and he shot it. We went to look at the bottle and I had hit it. I grazed the neck on the side. But his bullet was the one that made it fly so we called it a tie.
At 300 he got me. the clostest I could hit was about 4" low on the post. I hit the post 4 times but could not hit the 2 leter pop bottle. Jacob got me on that one. So he won the shoot. I told him since he won I would make him a renegade like mine. I probably would have made him one even if he haden't beat me. I wasn't going to tell him I would have done it anyway
I wanted him to beat me for it. Ron
