Beach, Mark is right. I had one in the shop that was really rusty and pitted. I could not get all the rust out with all the regular methods, steel wool, solvents, lapping compounds, etc. I degreased the bore, plugged the nipple and filled the bore with vinegar overnight. All the rust was gone in the morning and with a little polishing it shot ok.

HI, barrel pitting can be a real problem in my TC Black Diamond, but it doesn't seem to affect accuracy. The most important thing to remember is to clean the gun immediatley after you shoot it. The longer you wait to clean the barrel the more damage you can have. Even waiting a week can result in pits.

Whale,

Welcome to the forums! I hope you'll find this to be as good a place as I do.

How do you like the Black Diamond?
