How many people here would be interested in participating a postal match? It would be a little different to fit more in the theme of muzzle loading big game hunting, and you'd need access to a printer (I'll make the targets and some may be more unique than others)and you can fax the targets back to me (we'll see if they fit through a fax with holes in them, may have to copy them first)

I'll get together some goodies, have to have goodies!

Anyway, reply here if you are interested and feel free to make suggestions, just don't get upset if I don't follow them!

Mark

I would consider it. That is if I have time....my wife is pregnant and could go into labor any time. How does a match like that work? What would the rules be?

To clarify a little, I am thinking open sights and black powder are the only mandatory rules. Remember, this is supposed to be for fun

Like Wheelgunner, I would like to here more about this.

Is it limited to in-lines, or would I be aloud to use one of my Traditinal type front stuffers, either flintlock or cap? Plus would it includ Black Powder revolvers & other B.P. pistols?

Rules? We don't need no stinkin'... well, maybe we do!

Here is what I am thinking- I come up with a target, which people can download and print out, then shoot at a measured distance, I'm thinking 50 or 75 yards as I want to do this with open sights, then they sign and date the target and fax it to me. I was thinking about having it be 4-7 weeks long and a new target every week. The high score of the week gets something and then hopefully I'll have some stuff to dole out in various categories at the end of the series.

But I realize this is not a postal match I'm envisioning more of a fax-match, I have a different name in mind but lets see who is interested first.

Anyway, I know how pregnant wifes are but if you can get to range or someplace to shoot that is all that counts. Of course you might prefer to go to a range somewhere and sleep for a couple hours but you'll learn about that part soon enough.

Also, congrats on the imminent arrival, please post here when the miracle occurs!

Cool Target, Mark.

I think I'd like to try, too.
