I would like to have one to play around with but the prices are something else. I looked at the Urbati but a 1000 is to much.
Does anyone else make such a reproduction ?

I also have another motive, Ms will allow you to use a BPCR during it's primitative season. It must be a breach loader with a hammer.

How about the rolling block reproductions that are available in 40-65 and 45-70. I think they qualify as a breech loader.

Do a search on http://www.gunsamerica.com/ for 1873 Springfield, 1884 Springfield, 1888 Springfield, Trapdoor, etc and you'll find a variety of original and repro guns, some for under $1000, though most are rifles rather than carbines. Pedersoli makes/made them. H&R made them in the 1970s. Track of the Wolf has an original Cadet rifle for $899. If you can do with a Sharps they have a IAB Business Rifle for $489. They also list an Uberti Winchester High-Wall for $749
