I have a .58-caliber muzzleloading rifle with barrel that has: 1:48 twist; .580-inch lands; and .592-inch grooves. What production molds drop .58-caliber Minié/Maxi/R.E.A.L. bullets that stabilize in it?

Hi,
460 grains REALs work perfect in my .58 Kodiak (1-48").
Less than 2" at 50 meters for each barrel.

Faster rates of twist like your 1-48 shoot bullets better. Slower rates like 1-60 and up shoot round balls better. A Minie, Maxi or REAL should do fine in your rifle.

Tom

Keep in mind the log of my being wrong is 2" thick and I am on Vol #4!
