I have a .58-caliber muzzleloading rifle with barrel that has: 1:48 twist; .580-inch lands; and .592-inch grooves. What production molds drop .58-caliber Minié/Maxi/R.E.A.L. bullets that stabilize in it? It's so simple to be wise. Just think of something stupid to say and then don't say it. Sam Levinson

Hi, 460 grains REALs work perfect in my .58 Kodiak (1-48"). Less than 2" at 50 meters for each barrel. Martin Double Rifle Shooters Society member from Argentina. My doubles: .577 Snider by W.Richards. .58" ML by Pedersoli

Faster rates of twist like your 1-48 shoot bullets better. Slower rates like 1-60 and up shoot round balls better. A Minie, Maxi or REAL should do fine in your rifle. Tom Keep in mind the log of my being wrong is 2" thick and I am on Vol #4! ************************************************** DRSS NRA Life "Learn to ride hard, shoot straight, dance well and so live that you can - if necessary - look any man in the eye and tell him to go to hell!"
