Actually, I decided to delay the inline decision for another season. Instead, I bought one of those Green Mountain replacement barrels for the Hawken rifle kit my dad built in 1978. The new barrel will shoot conicals and sabots, and has fiber optic sights.

I'll let you all know how it shoots. Had to shorten the rib about 3/8", but other than that it was a drop-in conversion.
