I dinally got a scope on my Marlin stainless .54 cal.It has a 1in 28" twist. It is very accurate with .50 325 gr bullets in sabots.I wanta try the Hornady xtp .50 bullets.I shot small 1/2" groups at 50 yards.I will have to try it at 100.It drops but has alot of power.I can only use up to 90 grs of triple 7 powder. It out shot all of my shotgun primered guns with pellets by a long shot.I think I am going to shoot triple 7 powder in ALL MY muzzleloaders from now on.I even shot it in my Ruger old army.I like these .54 caliber rifles.I have 3 of them.I did break a trigger group on one which sucks.I have to cronography this rifle.I think its as powerful or more powerful as the .500 s&w .It uses the same bukllets.I am glad I got a scope on it helps alot.I cant shoot past 25 yards with open sites worth a dang any more.Any more .54 shooters out there.I gotta get some more sabots though its hard to find the .54 ones that shoot .500 bullets.
