A friend of mine has a blue version it is a nice pistol but if you use a heavy bullet the muzzle flip is a lot. I looked at a new one in nickel with a muzzle break but it was pealing. I am thinking about getting a TC encore pistol in stainless. The initial cost is more but you can put different barrels on the TC. This way you can use it as regular pistol or rifle and not a muzzle loader only. In Kansas the barrel has to be 10 inches on a Muzzle loading pistol or I would have bought a Lyman Great Plaines pistol to go with my Great Plaines Rifle. Blue Grouse Black Powder Makes and sells Under-Hammer pistols and rifles you might check them out. http://muzzleloading.biz/ Hope this helps and have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I have an older version and the sights are bad. I have not shot it enough to find anything that shoots well. If I can find sights that are decent that will fit I may get it back out and try again. I was not impressed.
