Under Obo's directive, we as a state that gets more rain than we need.... had to put in containment ponds to "save" water the same as desert areas.
At one point we had 7 trucks parked here from state and fed agencies, all working out of the same building 45 min away.
I asked how in hell this meets Obo's fossil fuel burning standards and climate change demands?
I got a he-he. "I know it doesnt look good. But none of us (agencies) wants to have to share a truck, so we all drive and record our use so we wont loose it".
Waste, and abuse everywhere, despite what they demand from the taxpayer and mandate what you do.
It looks like 600 people will still be employed by USAID. If they cant organize food shipments where needed, get someone else in there who can.

The initial attempt by Musk was to completely shut down the agency, the pushback was strong and it did not happen the way Elon wanted it to go down.

I have no problem at all with targeted cuts, I have often said foreign aid would be a great place to start saving money, and it is. I just don't think a wrecking ball is the correct tool to using to trim the budget.
