Well, I do give a shit.

I took a break to post, but I'm watching it.

These guys are good debaters. They behave themselves so far and have their timing down.

This is better than when Trump is involved in a debate.

More later.

The Reps should have nominated Vance. He's better than Trump anyway.

I noted that he couldn't defend Trump's statements and policies, so he dodged questions about them.

Walz looked shaky at first, and fidgeted a lot for the course of the debate; but he looked more passionate about his statements.

My favorite part was Vance whining about being fact-checked.

If he can't lie he can't talk, just like Trump.

Vance was smooth. Very smooth. Someone mentioned "style points"...

Vance is a far better speaker than Trump. Walz is a far better speaker than Kamala. I think that sums it up. Both had the unenviable task of defending flawed running mates. Both did OK. Bill

Vance was smoother than Walz, but Walz sounded more like he actually believed what he said.

Don't tell us you're going to play that tired "moderator bias" whine again.

2 things;

1) If you could not see the moderator bias…you have a problem.

2) Despite moderator bias, Vance was the clear winner — if you didn’t see that…you are not a serious person.

He has no clue either about how he is going to deport 11 million illegals.

That's assuming the least.

Let's assume that he knows thoroughly how that works. And, he also knows not to say it out loud. After all he's got Stephen Miller.

I assume that if someone looks illegal or Hispanic you snatch them up, strip them of their rights and put them into holding until you get a busload or planeload OR just escort them back across the border.

Following up on a question that has been dodged is not bias, it's good moderation.

I love how Ldvm dismisses anyone who disagrees with his own biased views.

Vance looked slicker, more polished, better spoken. He reminds me of a money manager who once talked me into letting him manage some assets.

Six months later I checked my statement and found he'd invested half in T-bills and the other half in several mutual funds I could have found on my own. For this, I was paying him a point a year, not on earnings but on total assets.

I fired him and went to a brokerage that allows me to manage my investments on my own.

And that's who Vance reminds me of. Not an evil man entirely, just one who can't perform up to his representations. Vance dodged an original, then follow-up, question about what health care plan Trump had.

Like that money manager, he had nothing but hot air.

Vance is a polished liar.

Trump saved the Affordable Care Act? The Affordable Care Act he ran on repealing and tried to destroy until stopped by the Supreme Court?

I wonder why bodies stored in reefer trucks because the morgues were full didn't come up...

You could take that as a given, and still acknowledge that Vance was an easy target.
Still, the moderators gave him his opening to say that he changed his view of Trump.
Vance was smooth, almost as smooth as Bill Clinton.
I'd kind of like to hear some details about how Trump saved Obamacare...

Walz seemed to scramble at each juncture, not a good image. Still he answered more than he didn't.
He might have just said that he was in China the summer of the upheavals, and forgot the exact date. He didn't.

I really like moderator bias and fact checking, especially in the face of lies. Bias favoring Truth - gimmie more.

It's ironic that some people when faced with truth, they will shun it calling it bias.

Meanwhile, here's a guy I turn to sometimes when perspective is needed:

Oh, I don’t know.

During Trump’s first administration he deported one third the number that Obama deported during his administration.
Clinton deported 12 million illegals during his administration.
So, why now is it looked at as so impossible to get a handle on the current immigration debacle?
Oh, wait, it’s because he’s a Republican.
That’s it.

Whatever.

As I said before, we are set up for four more years of DJT and eight years of JDV.

Face it, the Dems have hitched their wagon to a tired old ox and the Reps have set their future on a well reasoned and logical platform.
Walz showed himself as a weak running mate to a weak candidate.
He actually agreed with Vance more than he could ever agree with Harris.

We shall see in November.

Trump’s mouth finally got him rejected by some Jon I gifted today that watch Fix Need everyday.

“I am not a fan of migrants, but I am sick of Trump’s lies about them. He flubbed his dub.”

That was the quote the day.

I want to vote Republican. The Republican Party gives me only reasons to vote no.

But does the Republican Party have any promise beyond Trump?
I say yes it does.

I’d rather withstand four years of Trump with JDV in the wings over whatever Harris and who knows what will accompany her.
That’s what we are ultimately faced with in this next election.

Your blind support for trump disqualifies you from deciding who is intelligent. Very few people here take you seriously these days.
