I never knew 86 was slang for killing. Of course, with the way our society is changing, meanings and definitions change with it. The Trumpeteers will always reach as far as they can to paint anyone who has ever spoken against their messiah in the worst possible light. So, what Comey meant (which was probably that Trump should be thrown out) must be manipulated to fit the narrative.

86 something means to bar or remove. The phrase comes from the 30s when an item was unavailable or customer is not to be served. Here is the rub as it may have been slang for nixing. This is according to Oxford.
