The word "analysis" has been used inappropriately in other threads.

But here, I think the word is appropriate:

IMO, Trump should be prosecuted and if convicted serve the sentence, to the full extent of Rule of Law, with no pardon, and no concern as to the polarization.

Per my far-right friend: "reality sucks"

D.J. Trump aka Trumpism's Founding Farter, aka Farter Martyr. Qualifications: flatulence - mental, oral and anal.

The analysis in the article covers State pardons too, distinguished from Fed pardon powers.

I just do not see a Governor pardoning President Trump.

Not in GA and not in NY.

If Trump was willing to shut up and go away, a la Nixon, maybe he might get pardoned.

His continued antagonistic stance and continual requests for special treatment are not going to get him any consideration.

We do have a tendency to want to let past presidents just be dignified disinterested figures. Its part of why HR Clinton got the reaction she did. Same with GW Bush... to a lesser extent... and Bush probably reinforced the desire; too much possible involvement of an ex president.
