I think the evidence is clear…they don’t try to be apolitical at all. They clearly have a political agenda…like MOST of the bureaucracy. If that didn’t become clear listening to Comey, McCabe, Page & Strzok…this should help you pound it through that dense skull. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J. When a war is being waged against the Rule of Law, and the traditional "system" goes into alert then accountability mode, starting with law enforcement like the FBI, DOJ, etc., then the judiciary, those who are complicit or especially explicitly participating, if they have the power, will attack law enforcement by any means. They will weaponize farce investigations, spew propaganda, lie as though their beliefs are facts, and so forth. All we're seeing on the surface is the heretofore Rule of Law facing the conversion forefront of the fascism movement, led and fed by Trump. They know the Rule of Law is a barrier which must be torn down and remade to serve them. That's what they do. It's scripted. The primary tools are lies, the false narratives of persecution and politized agenda and propaganda to sow doubt and distrust and even hate, and the projections. It's all been done before. It's a familiar script, but it hasn't been played like this for some time. https://www.vox.com/politics/2...-wray-defund-hearing The GOP’s anti-FBI turn, explained Republicans’ war on the FBI is really about protecting Trump. Respectfully, I disagree for the most part. While my interaction with FBI agents is minimal, most strive to live by the official code of conduct and are honorable folks. What I see is that the DC part, at the Hoover building executive level are heavily influenced by politics. They get promoted by politics and they deal with intensely partisan politicians on a daily basis. In my mind, no agent should be in DC for a prolonged period of time. That place corrupts folks due to its innate nature as a center of power. The FBI has always had issues that way- look at Hoover himself. Spend some time talking with line agents and if they know you, they will admit that there is a lot of politics at work coming out of DC. It’s not just Democrat; the GOP influences some as well. For the Trump fans, what is Trump proposing re federal law enforcement? It’s not cleaning it up, it’s turn it on the other side… which will continue to cause the cycle to go on.

Well, IMO, it's unrealistic to imagine the FBI in particular being completely immune from politics. That doesn't mean they are inherently corrupt. Conservatives generally had no problem with and mostly supported law enforcement up until the era of Trump. What does that say? Some say Trump exposed their political bias. There should be no doubt that if law enforcement is bias, it's against criminals and crime. When a man like Trump gets into politics, and wins the joysticks of power, given his history of beating whatever system constrained him, his weasel gift, suspicion is natural for law enforcement folks. The political aspect is coincidental, not primary. ************* Real conservatives aren't radicalized. Thus "radicalized conservative" is an oxymoron. Yet there are many radicalized republicans. Not quite. The rift started under Obama with the nonactions over fast and furious, HRC, Lerner, etc. It had taken a hit with Ruby Ridge and Waco before that. Fundamentally, the feds have been covering for folks in the government in cases that they would not have for nonfederal employees. Do you think that Hourichi would have gotten a pass if he had been a state cop and that they would have cleared the state chain of command if a state officer had done the shooting? Or would it be a civil rights infringement? Would a state agency not had DOJ oversight started if they burned down a compound and killed many kids? The feds have had a number of high profile screw ups that no one was held accountable for, and then they have a bunch of charges against one party after not holding the other accountable… not completely identical situations, but the fact they excused democrats at the highest levels on judgement calls made a fertile field for the conspiracy minded.

Ahh, broken record Kabob. Less then a year ago, Kabob posted MOL the same post as above. It was at the start of a two page thread, with multiple people showing multiple cases of deceit or corruption in the FBI going back decades. But to Kabob, it was only Trump that brought it to the surface. The worst part was, there is seldom anything done to those that were in the wrong. Mostly, moved from one office to another. I sent MM a PM about the FBI admitting it needed changes and a house cleaning. We agreed it was needed, and seems to be addressed. Go watch a rerun on TV Kabob, it will be the first time you've seen it.

Politics has zero place in law enforcement. Each law enforcement officer takes an oath of office to do the job fairly while honoring the Constitution. Lying to Congress and to get warrants is a crime. It is far worse 2hen done by police administrators who are sworn to lead by example. Today’s frequent disregard for the oath of office is the main reason things have gone so wrong. Both by politicians and members of law enforcement.
