theback40Just read a piece on it. Not enough info to make any thoughts on it yet.
Trumps first term they did the same with a judge. Biden let them off, if they would put themselves before a review board if I remember right. Never heard what became of it then.

RolandtheHeadlessI read it. I do try to keep up on linked articles, as opposed to videos, which convey information too slowly for my preference.
If the factual allegations are true, the judge was left with two options: try to keep the defendant in the US for due process in her courtroom on the serious charges against him, or submit to the government's attempt to whisk him out of the country with no due process, based upon mere allegations.
Now AG Blondi wants to punish the judge--for insisting on due process for the man. We all should be concerned for what the Trumpenstein authorities are trying to do.
I would guess they're using "administrative warrants" because they know they can't get judicial warrants.

RolandtheHeadlessNotice I said, "If the factual allegations are true..."
I have considerable reason to doubt Blondi's version of what happened.

jdollarThe seriousness of the charge against the guy is debatable. It was a misdemeanor DV charge.

LHeym500Now, that is interesting. The way it is supposed to work is an “illegal” that is charged w a crime is that illegal is subject to that states criminal jurisdiction.
Once, and assuming, the illegal is convicted in state court, the illegal serves his sentence. Upon completion of sentence the illegal is subject to deportation. The state DOC contacts ICE.
Somewhere, at the beginning, the defense is supposed to contact the national’s consulate/embassy.
That is how it is supposed to work.
Assuming the Feds had no real right to take him, he being subject to the state criminal jurisdiction would trump the feds just wanting to take him, I could see a state’s judicial ethics committee disciplining, including recommending removal, a judge who allows the Feds to take a person subject to state jurisdiction.
Now, she should not lie nor conceal from the Feds.
It is crisis that should not be happening. The Feds cannot just seize and remove fold. Regardless of what the Texas contingent wants the law to be.

wympleIt's a PR stunt to distract from trump's melting of the economy. It's not going to work as he wants because his handling of immigration has also gone negative now. If he really wants a distraction, his Tesla can catch on fire in the morning. That'll make headlines.

LHeym500PR stunt? Listen to what you just said. A PR stunt with a person’s liberty at stake, sbd their professional life.
The Executive in bringing these charges has called into question the integrity of this judge, of the fundamental bedrock of our system of justice.
PR stunt indeed.

No one should be upset about the FBI arresting the judge.
Everyone should be upset about the judge harboring an illegal immigrant who committed assault on two people, helping him escape Federal arrest.
