The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is on course to permit abortions in cases of rape and incest, and could result in the Islamic country's abortion laws being more liberal than those in as many as nine US states.

. . . an Islamic country can get it right but thanks to our head-up-their-ass evangelical fringe rape and incest victims in the US are forced to carry the bastard seed to term. Amazing. And the evangelicals want to lament the dangers of Sharia law all the while imposing their own version of religious law here. Sickening.

They announce that last week.

But, although abortion was illegal, the government never got involved when it happened.

All they did now is make what actually was happening into law.

We value family integrity very much here.

And busy bodies trying to tell others what to do do not exist.

In fact, that is one of the reasons the UAE has been very successful.

I ask everyone I get in contact with at shops, coffer bars and restaurants.

How long they have been here, and how they like it.

Without exception, everyone says they love it because they are left to do whatever they wish.

As long as they do not bother others.

In the West it seems every little dickhead, or bitch, or in between, is trying their best to tell us all what is better for us!

Mike, we actually have different courts to deal with non Muslims, so Sharia does not apply to them.

We have lots of laws that actually make sense.

But, we still get crucified in Western media when these laws are applied.

One of these are crooks who are in jail because they owe many people many.

They came here to make a quick buck, lost, got caught, and scream bloody murder they are victims.

I think you have it pretty good under your current King, Saeed.
How does he compare to the previous King?

We don’t have kings.

He is ruler, in the old Bedouin tradition.

The same family have ruled Dubai since 1852.

It is done on the same principles as a head of a tribe.

Everything is done in the open.

The Ruler is accessible to the people every day he is in town.

He drives himself, no body guards.

Goes to eat in the malls regularly.

People here were totally shocked when Bush visited Dubai!

The American Secret Service demanded they close everywhere he went.

There were callers to live radio shows.

Basically the consensus was “tell him to go back where he came from! Our rulers move about freely here. And so should he!”

Do you think that has anything to do with how those laws are applied? Multiple tiers of justice depending on your bloodline? Why would anyone object to such an overtly fair system? Makes you wonder doesn't it? Wink

Actually, we don’t have favoritism.

Laws are applied across the board.

Western media like to criticize us - maki g things up as they go along, mostly lies - because it is a in their country.

Some of these stories are quite funny.

Saw a report in the UK Sun.

Criticizing us for fining a partly disable British man several thousand Pound Sterling for traffic fines.

The man an employee of a local council in the UK.

Earning less than 30,000 Sterling a year - this was reported in the paper too.

He came to Dubai, booked in one of the most expensive hotels in the world - BURJ AL ARAB.

He hired a Lamborghini sports car.

Around 2 in the mor, when one of the major highways here wasn’t so busy, he cranked up.

Going over 280 km/h.

Many times getting clocked by speed cameras.

The registered owner of a vehicle here gets an immediate notification if a traffic offense is committed.

The owner of the rental company got those messages.

He tried calling the driver, no response.

By the morning, he goes to the client, takes his car away, and reports him to the police.

Exceeding 200 km/h here can result in your car being confiscated.

Depending on the road conditions.

His fines were in excess of $10,000 .

He ended up in jail for a few days, paid about half, and left for home.

Apparently this was very upsetting to the Sun, how he got mistreated!

That doesn't disprove favoritism.

Heck that clown got favoritism treatment- if I had done that I would not have gotten out of the fines or jail time.

Yeah, it sucks when somebody who doesn't know what they are talking about criticizes another Country's internal business...
