Damn judge "actually wants" him to post the bond. You know...like the law says. But, it's never happened to anybody before. 2020

“Judge Engoron actually wants me to put up Hundreds of Millions of Dollars for the Right to Appeal his ridiculous decision. In other words, he is trying to take my Appellate Rights away from me,” Trump wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform Tuesday morning. “Nobody has ever heard of anything like this before.”

The AG filed a motion detailing his equity in "his" various properties that says he can only cover half the bond if he liquidates everything.

"Billionaire" my ass.

I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire unless I had a canteen of gasoline handy.

Whining. It’s the Trump way. He should have thought about the consequences of lying on his financial statements beforehand. Financial fraud, insurance fraud, etc. costs all of the rest of us money in higher fees, higher premiums, more restrictive terms and the like. Screw him.

I'm not a Trump fan, but this whole thing has been weaponizing of state agencies for political gain by the Democrats.

How anyone could see it any different is beyond me.

Why wasn't this action taken against any of the top 10 NY real estate developers for a practice that is apparently very common in the real estate industry?

Why do so many trumptards start every utterance with "I'm no trump fan but...."

When I see people using phrases like "Weaponization of state agencies", I see a FOX news devotee.

Fuck trump. He did exactly what he has been accused of doing and its fraud. If what you say is true, he should have stayed in the real estate business rather than running for POTUS....it's a different level of scrutiny of business practices and things like paying off hookers to keep quiet.

I would like to see the bond amount reduced in order that the appeal process can go forward, and I would like to see that process fast-tracked. Let it get over with. Of course, if he's found guilty, his followers won't accept that, if not guilty, his detractors won't accept that, but we might be able to move forward to whatever our destination might be. Given that we are looking forward to four more years of poor governance, on top of the previous sixteen, it's not looking real bright, but at least we can get this crap behind us. Regards, Bill

The appeal can and will go forward regardless of the bond, posting the bond is required to stay the collection of the Judgement pending the appeal. He has to prove he is good for it, which so far he cannot do.

He's already been found liable, with more than ample evidence proving it. His entire "empire" is a fraud, a Ponzi scheme built on lies and exaggerations and bluster, on borrowing money to pay off previous loans made based on fairy-tale valuations of his properties and his worth.

Like all such houses of cards the collapse is inevitable.
