Wouldn’t a good and decent family with the vast wealth of the Bidens at least set her up a school fund and help the innocent child along?

Helping innocent kids predates “wokism.”

But the case does illustrate what horrible people the Biden’s are for sure.

I appreciate it when the OP provides a bit more description of what he's talking about. Or at least post a link to the story.

I never even knew Hunter has a daughter before reading this thread. I don't have the time to watch news media most of the day.

In essence, he’s denied paternity (despite genetic testing), hasn’t paid support, and is fighting allowing the child’s mother from giving her the surname Biden.

He’s been quoted as saying she is no Biden.

Joe has refused to comment, saying that’s private.

Quite a different story than when he’s on the stump going on about deadbeat dads.

Thanks, Dr. Butler. Your description of the article appears mostly accurate, although I read it as saying Hunter is fighting for reduced child support. Where does it say he's not paying child support at all?

I agree he's a deadbeat dad, if he's not paying what the court ordered. And it's detestable to not recognize a child as yours, when the DNA shows she is.

As for President Biden's statement, I would also feel it's a private matter. But I don't understand his attitude toward the child and her mother. Even if the child is the result of a drug-fueled one-night stand, she's still his grandchild, according to the DNA.

I can remember clear back to President Carter's daughter being publicly disparaged a d that seemed pretty low. Reagan's family was under the microscope and I thought it was great that "W"'s daughter's as well as Obama's daughters were mostly left alone. The Trump family that stepped into the spotlight got the attention they asked for, I thought it was nice to leave trump's little boy to be a boy.

I see no reason to even mention Hunters daughter. Whether they volunteer for it or not, all the presidential families highlighted in the press or media end up the worse for wear, I think we at least can leave them all alone.

I am all for leaving them alone. Hunter brought it into the public spotlight with a lawsuit.

I am merely pointing out that a family of vast means could support this little girl (who will already have it hard enough) and not even miss the dough. If…their heart was in the right place.

Maybe stating that his son is an example of the problem?

Maybe publicly stating that he will not have contact with folks who hire his son as it would be nespotism?

Hunter’s whole MO is the appearance of having inside connections to the highest levels of government and getting preferred treatment.

Whether it’s actually true or not.

Biden was one of those guys who went on about the appearance of impropriety being enough to mandate investigations.

He should be hoisted by his own petard.

For most of us with most of the democrats, there's little of their personal lives or families that would change our vote. Based on the candidate and their policy/ agenda alone I didn't vote for Clinton, Obama, Biden.

He was a deadbeat dad. He resisted the turning over of his finances long after being forced to give the dna test that showed the kid was his daughter.
He has since been made to pay child support, but now wants the court to lower his payments. Most of this took place in early 2022.

Even if I was experiencing periodic blackouts due to drugs and alcohol, I too might doubt it if a stripper came forward claiming I was the father of her child.

But after the DNA test... Dodging child support and disclosure of finances at that point makes him a deadbeat.

And spurning a grandchild doesn't say much about the character of Joe Biden. But since when do conservatives care about character?

Many of my friends provide daycare, meals, transportation each and every day so the grandchild's parents can go to work and have quality time without having to deal with their offspring. Sure is different times!
