Just another example of how dishonest and spiteful many citizens had become. I mean who wouldn’t lie to stop a fascist Nazi? Where did that rhetoric go? Overall, media proved time and time again they cannot be trusted. This reckoning is a long time coming. “All we want are the facts ma’am.”

Why does no one take the press corps very seriously? Why do so many get their news from the internet or sites like Twitter?

I certainly admit that there can be issues with unvetted sources, but the media doubled down on what they have been doing- taking sides- and their continued loss of viewership is the result of this.

If they had stuck to the 5 W’s and how then the crisis in public confidence might not be here.
