Up to a point. I'm sure there are things that he could do that would be exceptions to that DOJ policy. OTOH the fucking Senate wasted two opportunities to expel him from office. If the RNC or possibly congress had the balls they would seize on this conviction as another opportunity to keep him off of the ballot.

If a setting President is going to be prosecuted federally, Congress will have to remove that President first, or the term expire subject to limitations of immunity that are yet to be seen. I say that bc a Justice or two thinks a President can order the assignation of a citizen or two.
