Ben and Jerry’s has been playing political activism games since day one.

While they make really good ice cream, it ain’t like others don’t as well.

Michael Jordan said republicans buy sneakers too.

Well, conservatives buy ice cream. Probably more than lefties since they don’t tend to be hung up on veganism, farming being defined as animal cruelty, and so on.

I won’t say I boycott Ben and Jerry’s, as if someone wants to give it to me, I will eat it, but I spend my money on alternate choices that I feel are as good…. Or if it’s that big a deal, home made is better yet.

Oh no. They’re down to 131,000,000,000 from 133,000,000,000 and change. I wonder if they’ll have a garage sale so they can make the rent payment.

Kristi Noem is a stupid cunt.

Saeed- if you’re reading this- thank you for this discussion forum. Social media sites want to ban people for using terms like “stupid cunt”. I mean, terms like “stupid cunt” exist for a reason, you know.

Stopped buying Levi's many years ago when they became anti-gun anti-hunting.

Stopped buying Modelo a few years back when they began to directly fund illegal immigration .

Never cared for Bud Light-
Only occasionally bought Ben & Jerry's.
etc etc.

Voting with your pockect-book as a force of one has most probably --little effect.

Still in all, it is a worthwhile endeavor.

ME, you’re slipping! That article is almost a month old. Unilever’s stock price has already rebounded and is above the July 4th price.

I would be interested to know if this actually hurt sales, and if it continues to do so.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

A month old?

Yea, I'm slipping. Big Grin

I'll be more careful - promise. Wink

Another thing, perhaps more significant, is that my computer locked up yesterday morning. The message said something like - do not turn off your computer. It has been locked for security reasons. Someone tried to access your data or steal your ID. Call the number on the screen to get help. The message had the Microsoft logo and looked legit.

I didn't call that number but called another from a search on my cell phone supposedly Microsoft help. I got someone I couldn't understand. English was not his first language. He wanted $200 by credit card just to get started.

He asked, Okay? I said fuck no and hung up.

Then I closed the top of my laptop, unplugged it, and went to a computer store about 30 miles away. I didn't shut it off, since the battery would support it for that long.

When I got there and opened the lid the same message was on the screen.

The young fella had it fixed in five minutes for $25.

If I understood him correct, he said it was ransomware. He said it was a scam and not legit Microsoft. He said virus protection software can't catch them all because the hackers now use AI to generate randomness. He thinks I got it by clicking on some fake ad.

Sometimes, in my haste, I inadvertently click on an ad and get out immediately. Not quickly enough this time.

So, yes, I'll be more careful - slow down. Big Grin
Whew!!!
