• Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, one of the masterminds of the October 7 massacre in Israel, has been killed, according to the Israeli military.

• “This is the beginning of the day after Hamas,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, while calling on those holding Israelis captive in Gaza to lay down their weapons and return the hostages, pledging whoever does so will be allowed to “go out and live.”

• An Israeli drone flying over Gaza today spotted Sinwar’s body in the rubble of a building that was struck by an Israeli tank Wednesday, a source tells CNN. When soldiers went in on foot to get a closer look, they started to suspect it was the Hamas leader, and Israeli officials ran DNA tests and used dental records to confirm his identity.

What I thought interesting was the video out today.

They sent a drone in, which he threw a stick at… then reportedly they shot the building with a tank main gun.

Shows quite a difference in our ROE in the gulf unpleasantness and the Israeli military.

As to killing this POS, I am glad they did.

If the Palestinian people want their own state, they need to step up and select reasonable people to lead them, not some Iranian mullah approved malcontent. I thought (Saeed probably knows) that the Palestinians were predominantly Sunni Muslims, while the Iranians are predominantly Shiite… while I get the whole enemy of my enemy thing, the Iranians are not interested in what’s best for the Palestinians…

The video showed him sitting, apparently wounded since he can’t stand up, throwing a stick at the drone. The next image is his body mostly covered in rubble. Yep, I think the IDF served him up a tank round. Good for them!
