I had a conversation today with a MAGAt about Trump and the economy. He believes Trump knows exactly what he is doing. He believes Trump wants to intentionally destroy equity markets to force capital into the bond markets to lower interest rates to reduce the national debt. He does not believe tariffs are taxes, they are a way to force foreign companies to step up. I mean seriously, when these folks really have so much trust and faith in Trump that they can convince themselves that his chaotic actions are part of a rational plan, they are prepared to do or believe anything the Orange Messiah says.
