Check out their testimony in front of a house sub-committee. The two called it donations from Patel in Movember to help the them and their families out. Specifically denied that it was for attorney’s feed. You got it wrong, bub.

The two witnesses had already been out of work for two years because they were whistleblowers. If they had been offered money before they had done so, it would have been an issue of bribery. Patel started a go fund me to help the two out because they had been nearly bankrupted.

So Patel was just an interested citizen that starts Go Funds for needy citizens. How many other Go Funds has he started?

I get that if Patel had been giving them money before they left it’s the appearance of bribery, but helping a person who you believe is bad?

Yeah, if they are not really whistleblowers it’s odd. Dunno the veracity of them being such… but it’s hardly earthshaking or wrong that a guy fired for political reasons gets supported by the firing party’s political opponents after the fact.
