Democracy is supposed to be the rule of the majority.

In the whole stupid West, you are ruled by the freak minorities!

And therein is the point of us being a representative republic.

Mob rule isn’t good. Look at France during the revolution.

Our system is set up to protect the rights of the minority.

Unfortunately, people think everyone should behave as they want them to.

Our pet issue right now, LGBTQ is a prime example.

It’s no skin off me if someone wants to live like they are different than they were born as/heteronormative attraction.

It is a problem when they start getting strident about “acceptance” being we need to buy in to their not necessarily obvious desires. The pronoun thing is an attempt to force others to be all knowing and spend your time catering to others, which is a problem.

If you use the wrong pronouns about me, I may think you are blind/stupid, but I don’t get all strident about it. I’ve had folks I work with call me Mr. instead of Dr., and I don’t bother correcting them…. So what? If it’s (using PC terms) a micro aggression of disrespect, so what?

We’ve gone off the rails in trying to force compliance where it isn’t necessary.
