Vance is an election denier Login/Join

"In tapping Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) as his running mate, Donald Trump chose someone who has said he would have done what Vice President Mike Pence refused to do — ignore the Constitution and try to derail certification of Trump’s election loss in 2020.

Vance has said he would have used the vice president’s role overseeing the electoral count to recognize Trump electors from states the then-president didn’t win and that Congress “should have fought over it from there.” That, he said in February as he auditioned to be Trump’s pick, was the proper way to deal with an election “that had a lot of problems.”

Of course he is, it was a requirement to get the VP nomination. The reason why Tim Scott never had a prayer. You have to show your loyalty to the Orange Jesus in today's GOP.

Vance also supports and has voiced that support for Project 25 policy to fire merit based civil servants. Those merit based civil servants replaced with political appointees.

Vance has advocated the election was stolen stating states should have sent skates of electors (fraudulent electors I might add) for Congress to choose from.

When asked about rape and incest exceptions for abortion his original response, “Two wrongs do not make a right.”

I know, I know, he relies not mean those things.

There will be no ticket w Vance on it that gets my vote.

Vance is a reflection of the reality that, in this election cycle, with the Trumpeteers fully in charge, a candidate will kiss Trumps ass or will be ridiculed and rejected. A Republican is judged by the amount of support he shows for Donald Trump. Those who see Trump's flaws or recognize his mistakes, keep quiet about it. Love of country, the desire to serve the nation, these things are secondary. The desire to serve Trump is the one attribute one must demonstrate to survive in today's GOP. On the other hand, the result is at least the appearance of a united party. That such unity is achieved at the expense of free thought or considered dissension seems to be immaterial.
Nonetheless, the party at leat offers a path away from the wokeism which has done so much to add to the divisions in our society. As a Democrat, you don't have to suck up to the leader, you must genuflect to the ideology. One thing that has to be said about Obama, he led the party. Joe Biden couldn't lead a puppy on a leash. They'd both get lost. Regards, Bill

I dunno Bill, which has caused the most division, wokeism or Trumpism's reaction to it?

Such reaction, of course, includes the fomentation of project 2025, and in some ways the support of Trump.

I mean, which is the greatest existential threat to the governance?

Wokeism was a social or cultural movement within the system. It pretty much fizzled out on its own. It never did challenge the basic principles of governance.

Trumpism is that too, but goes much further with the goal of changing the system to something not present before, including dominion, especially Christian Nationalism, abandoning environmental protections, etc., etc., and so forth.

JD Vance ain't it.

Bill, let's talk about babble, mine and especially yours.

Someone accused me of babble, which is why I brought it up. Smiler

Here are some videos of babble.

After watching them, get back with me about comparisons of democrats and what GOPers have become, or tolerated or perhaps just like the rest of us - over run. Perhaps these links will serve as a small sample of the roots of division. After all, how does a nation of mostly sane people reconcile with insanity and radicalism?
