Where are they now??
its really simple. Im happy to talk about my nation, and if you have ever paid attention, You see Im also happy to say where I think we have gone wrong.
But most of the content here that I comment on is world issues and where those effect us all.

Or philosophical differences between right and left.

But as I and others have said before, you Americans who like to talk American politics and then complain when we give our say, are a tad precious. It's an international forum.

If you don't like it, you can fuck off.

That last sentence is about the most Kiwi reply ever.

Well played.

I noticed you never refused a glass! Speaking of which, we need to have one soon. Life has been in the way. And, I have a rifle barrel I want to coerce you into working on…maybe the whiskey will do the trick.

I need no incentive other than your company my friend! Any time!

While Jim and I may have our share of political differences, he is absolutely not a troll and is the kind of person anyone would want their neighbor to be. I won’t tell the story again of what Jim did to help me try to recover a handful of personal effects for my elderly in-laws after Hurricane Harvey . . . but neither will I ever forget what Jim did.

I'd do it again. And twice on Sunday Mike. Human beings are more important than politics.

He has his opinions, just like you and me.

I have got to ask, and require no answer, when you say you prefer whiskey over bourbon, which do you prefer:

Blended Scotch-Hard pass here
Single Malt Scotch( Sherry Cask or peated? I love Sherry cask single malts).
Vatted Malt Scotch (there ain’t many Johnny Green Label being the most available)
Rye Whiskey (One of my favorite drinks is a best pour of High West Mid Winters Dram that is finished in port cask)
Irish Single Pot Still (most like a single malt Scotch) Red Breast is a great example.
Blended Irish (Think Jamison)

The House Bourbon right now is Old Foster 1910 a double oak expression that is a blend of 4-7 year olds. The finishing in an extra chart barrel really adds flavor wo the age. It is sweat oak that you wilt find on some 10-12 years. The proof is nicely balanced at 9e proof.

There is Japanese Whiskey both blended and Single Malts. Most are imported to Japan from Scotland and sold as brands, but a few are distilled in country. They follow the scotch tradition.

You played rugby? You should have plenty of common ground with SP then.

I probably do. The AB’a are the most successful team to have ever played the game and they draw from a very small talent pool compared to the other top nations.

Their traditions of the Captains sweeping out tuw changinfg room after a game is probably the best one in rugby.

What I cannot understand is his need to complain about our nation where his own needs so much unfucking.

This is an international forum but it’s mainly populated by Americans who talk about American politics.

What happens in the US affects us all, it’s the largest economy and the preeminent military power so don’t be surprised that non Americans are going to have an opinion and know what is going on there. Sone of us have family over there.

What happens in NZ or UK doesn’t affect you at all, and frankly I’d be amazed of some of your countrymen could find either on a map.

You watch news on the idiot box there and it’s all US news ( generally), it’s a big place, plus some crap at the end about a cat getting rescued from a tree. News here covers the US and the rest of the world too.

Agreed.
You will go blue in the face looking for that International News Channel.

I get my news from the BBC, it's not that hard.

Granted, that is not typical for most Americans, but options do exist in today's day and age.

I think it has to be said, most wildcat afficionados are somewhat deranged. Whether or not this affliction spills over into other aspects of their lives is hard to say (though not always TOO hard).
In general, while some people may be low-life assholes, most are just misguided and mistaken.
My wife has asked why I always insist on being right. My reply that I wasn't like her and had never learned to be wrong, might have illustrated that "always right" isn't necessarily so. Certainly it showed a lack of judgement.
As for the trolls and "where are they now?". it's difficult for me to care. Regards, Bill

As my son says, "well I could agree with you, but then we'd just both be wrong", usually when discussing something engineering related.
