Sorry about the title, it was just to get you to read this: www.oregonlive.com Man, 78, loses part of face in horrific MAX station attack in Gresham, police say Detectives are investigating whether drugs played a role. www.oregonlive.com www.oregonlive.com Lived in Oregon close to 7 decades, most of them less than 30 miles from where this took place, and things just keep spiraling. "Keep Portland Weird" was a funny slogan in the 80's, but it's getting close to the norm these days. The local news outlets act like parrots for the elected, spinning news stories or omitting them from the public. As Portland was being ransacked, I still remember the phrase "Mostly Peaceful Protesters" being used. Every now and then something happens that they can't keep hidden or deflected with a nonsense phrase. One just needs to search for "Koryn Kraemer" and see which news outlets are reporting on the horrible occurrence, and which are saying little to nothing. I checked the Multnomah county jail booking https://www.mcso.us/paid website this morning and "Koryn Kraemer" isn't listed anywhere. Hopefully that was just caused by a slow update cycle. That said, Oregon is a catch and release state. John in Oregon

Hunger in Portland? I thought that they were feeding everyone... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uyc15c9_5-g Jason "You're not hard-core, unless you live hard-core." _______________________ Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt. Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure. -Jason Brown

What does expect from a country that its governors offer a reward of $10,000 if you report your neighbor having an abortion!

Ok, so where in the story is the hunger causing cannibalism? I pretty clearly saw mental illness being listed as causative. In other words, a mentally ill guy who should have been hospitalized and kept from being a danger was not.

According to this, his actions may have been drug related, rather than mental illness. 25-year-old former Oberlin college soccer player suspected of savagely attacking a 78-year-old man on a train platform in Oregon — and chewing off his ear and part of his face — told cops he believed the victim was a killer robot, according to prosecutors. Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt announced Wednesday that Koryn Kraemer has been arraigned on a second-degree assault charge stemming from the grisly incident that took place the day before at a light-rail train station in the Portland suburb of Gresham. The victim was standing on the Cleveland Avenue TriMetMAX platform at around 2 a.m. Tuesday when Kraemer, who was allegedly drunk and high on fentanyl and marijuana, approached the elderly man and proceeded to gnaw on his face. Well John, it's just great that we focus most of our resources on Foreign Entanglements rather than the exponentially growing domestic crisis's. Half a million homeless Americans, a million American gang members,......what could go wrong?

Gangs make money selling drugs. People become homeless because of drugs. John in Oregon

Simple solution. Someone convicted of possession with intent to distribute, gets to consume their drugs. All of them, until they die. The rest can be used for other miscreants.
