Reminds me of the old joke, Why did the Indians ride Appaloosas to war? So they would be good and mad when they got there.

Went for a BBQ in the desert.

We had a bunch of vegetarians, who asked for funny beef burgers - can’t remember the name.

We got them some.

Rest of us had usual beef ones.

We all a great evening, and everyone was commenting on the delicious dinner.

Including the veggies!

In fact some made the comment it was the best burgers they have ever had!

And we’re asking our chef about his cooking method!

Next morning the chef tells me he had forgotten the veggie burgers at the bottom of the cool box!

He fed the real, genuine beef!

When I was in ROTC the standing joke was MRE- meals rejected by Ethiopians.

The military doesn’t have constitutional rights. They have been a proving ground for lots of things. Some worked- integration of troops. Some didn’t- the nerve gas vaccine.

Some are out to debate - letting transgendered troops in and paying for the treatments.

It sucks to be the troops that have some BS political rules foisted on them like this, but that’s the consequences of elections.

Makes you wonder how they'll perform when the shit hits the fan and it will.
