SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — A conservative group has told a Georgia judge that it doesn’t have evidence to support its claims of illegal ballot stuffing during the the 2020 general election and a runoff two months later.

Texas-based True the Vote filed complaints with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in 2021, including one in which it said it had obtained “a detailed account of coordinated efforts to collect and deposit ballots in drop boxes across metro Atlanta” during the November 2020 election and a January 2021 runoff.

A Fulton County Superior Court judge in Atlanta signed an order last year requiring True the Vote to provide evidence it had collected, including the names of people who were sources of information, to state elections officials who were frustrated by the group’s refusal to share evidence with investigators.

In their written response, attorneys for True the Vote said the group had no names or other documentary evidence to share.

Not a big surprise. The evidence is always just around the corner. The Gulliani-Powell debacle was a classic example of a build-up to...nothing. Regards, Bill

One would think that the ostensible conservatives on this site would be deeply troubled by issues like this, like Powell and Giuliani admitting there was no evidence of fraud, Mike Lindell never producing any evidence of fraud, etc. They love to wax eloquently about the country, honor and integrity but never have shit to say when the efforts of others to subvert the election results in 2020 are debunked and disproven. Hypocrisy is the term that comes to mind.

The thing is, having chosen to follow their leader, they also choose to accept his view of reality, warped though it may be. Conservatism has nothing to do with it. Donald Trump is not a conservative; he is a con. He has destroyed conservatism in America by painting a clown face on it. He has weakened the Republican party by dividing it irreversibly. Regards, Bill.

The pseudo conservatives here express all this concern and indignation about stolen elections and truth be told the evidence suggests they were the ones trying to do the stealing.

They should be renamed the Projection Party. They assume everybody is doing what they themselves are doing, from abusing drugs (see White House Candy Store under Ronny Jackson), to accusing drag queens of abusing kids (when it's really Christian pastors and Republican cops far more often) and cheating in elections.

Remember this is how cults work. The cult leader is ALWAYS correct no matter what they say or do. There is no logic or thought process, if the leader says something the member has to believe it no matter what, even in the face of hard facts.

What is really interesting with cults is cult members come in all shapes and sizes. You would think that in order to fall for a cult the person would have to be dumb but that is not the case. Very intelligent people fall in to cults. I think it all comes down to "believe". Humans need to believe in something, it really does not matter what just something. It can be sports, religion, family etc. but it has to be something. When a person gets lost and don't believe in something and someone comes along and makes them believe then that is the basis of starting a cult. I think this is what happened to a lot of people here in the states, they lost believe in the country and the government and along comes Trump telling them exactly what they wanted to hear. During the election cycle with Hillary they absorbed everything Trump has to say and turned into true believers. Once they are true believers they are hooked into the cult and for the most part cannot get out.

Usually the only way to get out of a cult is the leader dying or some other major event. If you look back in history almost all cults end badly and that is scary considering how many people are in the Trump cult.
