The MAGA Morons are getting all the ink with their posturing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3dTPh0Z_Sk

They hold Kevin McCarthy, the MAGA weakling, hostage. To me, the right play would be for six moderate (read anti-MAGA) Republicans who have been voting for McCarthy to switch their votes to Jeffries, giving him 218 and the win. The MAGA trash would then be irrelevant.

Going forward, if the MAGA Republicans could pull up their pants and start acting like adults, those key moderates could still push the Republican agenda, if they ever come up with one.

Those six key Republican moderates would hold all the cards. Their strategy could be, "If the MAGA Morons act like clowns, we'll vote with the Democrats on all issues; if you stop acting like Trump finger puppets, we'll back you. Now let's move on with governing the country".

Right now the Broberts, Gaetzes, and other Freedom Caucus loons are just enjoying the limelight and TV time. They don't want to elect a Speaker.

McCarthy would kill his own mother to become Speaker. Electing Jeffries would put an end to this embarrassment and break the gridlock.

...and we sure missed the whole lot of them (from both sides of the isle) while they couldn't get things done! NOT!!!!!!!!!

I suppose we need them for something but it's more like a part time job. That's it!

If they did…in 2 years they would be eliminated from politics for life. Try for once in your life to think semi-rational.

Maybe, maybe not. There are plenty of republicans who are sick of idiots like trump, gaetz, boebert and the rest of the half-wits who perpetrated this ridiculous charade.

Yeah right! Roll Eyes

They would have never held office again as an (R) had they voted for Jeffries — GUARANTEED!

Other than “it gets a speaker” could you give some reasons WHY Jeffries?

He’s pretty left of center. Not a bad choice as minority leader from a democrat perspective, but not very moderate, either.
